[edit] About Makiten
I was an avid writer for Wikipedia and an avid disliker of hearing unsolicited opinions.
I currently live in Houston previously employed as a "programmer" at an SEO company, but now I build websites with a more accurate/definitive title, whilst I work on improving my own business where I mostly design websites (i.e. markup and presentation, with an occasional PHP application that is more in-depth than making a "contact us" form). I was a programmer (C) first before a designer, and I tend to avoid calling things "programming" that aren't, like writing markup code or submitting ads and changing text on a Content Management System.
Finally, my interests (and pages I tend to edit) are city-related, video game-related and anything pertaining to technology.
And yes I believe in W3C standards, but not in such a pretentious way that I write applications that penalise you for using tables when they're appropriate or let people know every time that I do/can write valid HTML and XHTML. It's just I believe in them as a way to blame Internet Explorer for not being good.
