"Aurora" means "Island of Recreation"? No, she was the Roman goddess of the dawn. Or the glow in the sky from particle interactions between the solar wind, Earth's magnetic field, and the upper atmosphere. I'm deleting this interpretation unless someone can provide evidence to the contrary. -- KarlHallowell 15:25, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
