Makomanai Indoor Stadium

Makomanai Indoor Stadium (真駒内屋内競技場 Makomanai Okunai Kyōgijō?) is an indoor ice hockey arena in Minami-ku, Sapporo, Japan. It was built in December, 1970, and holds 11,500 people and has an area of 10,133 m² in total.[1] The ice hockey games from the 1972 Winter Olympics were held at this arena.

The arena is used not only as a sports venue, but also for a huge meeting, fair of used cars, and concert. The live of Kumi Koda, a Japanese female singer, has recently been held in this stadium as a one of the "Koda Kumi Live Tour 2007, - Black Cherry - ".
The stadium has been known as its nickname, "Makomanai Ice Arena", and on April 1, 2007, the nickname was changed to the "Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena", after Sekisui Heim, a Japanese real estate company, acquired its naming rights.
