Makole

Makole is a town and a municipality in Slovenia. It is located in norheastern Slovenia, near to the Croatian border. It was first mentioned as a village in 1375, later it got marketing rights. On first of March in 2006 Makole became a muinicipality.

Main features of Makole are: st. Adroews church in the centre of Makole, the Štatenberg castle located on 487 meters height hill near to Makole, the longest cave in Styria called Blojača cave, statues that were created on international festival Forma viva and the nature all around Makole is also attractive. If you ever travel to Makole you should try some wine, because a lot of people from Makole are producing a verry good wine.
