"Makes No Difference" is the first single by the Canadian punk band Sum 41 from the album Half Hour of Power. The song is about getting over the tough and depressing parts of your life, letting go of the past, and being completely apathetic to everyone's comments and opinions.[citation needed] The song is featured on a few soundtracks including Bring it On, Out Cold and Van Wilder.
The video features two boys who get the house to themselves and invite a lot of people while Sum 41 is the house band. It also features a lot of mischief and disaster, for example someone watering the party-goers, a trophy shelf knocked down, and a guy who tries to run over Sum 41 but ends up crashing into the side of the house, making a big hole. The video is famous for the cameo of American rapper DMX riding on an ATV. Avril Lavigne's ex-drummer, Matt Brann, also makes a short appearance in the watermelon/hot tub scene.
There is also another version of the video. This video includes Sum 41 robbing a pizza store with water guns.
