Makerere College School

Makerere College School is a school in Uganda that shares a campus with Makerere University. It was established in 1945 to provide teaching practice for students at the University's School of Education. It is a day school with boarding facilities.

Makerere College School is listed among Africa's top 100 schools and shares fame with other traditional schools as Namilyango College, Gayaza High School, Rainbow International School and Lincoln International to mention a few.The school is located on the campus of the great Makerere University, Uganda's highest institution of learning and once the best tartiary institution in East and Central Africa. Makerere College School was founded as a demonstration school for then Makerere College 1n 1945. The current headmistress as of December 2007 is Rose Izizinga. Makerere College School has over the years produced the best candidates in Kampala District in the national O and A level examinations.
