"Make Me a Song" is the debut single by Pop/R&B singer Kiley Dean, released in May 2003. It peaked at #99 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1]
The song was written by Walter "Lil Walt" Millsap, Candice Neilson, and Timbaland, who produced the song. This urban/pop track is a rhythmic and lyrical push and pull in which Dean describes her journey to the studio to find the perfect melody and beat. There are references to Aaliyah's "Rock the Boat" and Missy Elliott in the song.
In the video Kiley goes through out her day in the studio. Two versions of the video were released: a TV version and an internet version.[citation needed] Timbaland, Missy Elliott, Brandy, and Bubba Sparxxx make cameos in the video.
