"Make It Last Forever" is a 1988 single by Keith Sweat and Jacci McGhee. The single peaked at #59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a hit on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks where it peaked at #2. Years later, the song would be covered by Chanté Moore and her husband, Kenny Lattimore. Large portions of the song would be interpolated in the 1999 "Make It Last Remix" of Mariah Carey's "Thank God I Found You". It was also covered in Hip-Hop as well with the song "Makin' Cash Forever" by Houston group Botany Boyz. Also Port Arthur rapper DJ DMD made a remake of the song with "Mr. 25/8" Also, the rap artist Lil Scrappy sampled this popular song for his song "Beatin Down the Block."
On Sweat's 2003 Live album, He performed the song with Calandra Glenn.
