"Make Believe It's Your First Time" is a song by the popular group The Carpenters. It was released in 1983 and both the A- and B-sides were from their first posthumous album, Voice of the Heart. The single was also their first posthumous single, and was originally supposed to be released on Karen Carpenter's solo project that she worked on in 1979, but was shelved until 1996, with the release of her eponymous album, Karen Carpenter.
