Makafushigi Adventure! (魔訶不思議アドベンチャー！ Mystical Adobenchā!?) is the opening theme song of the anime series Dragon Ball and is the ??th single by Jpop artist Hiroki Takahashi. It was released on vinyl on March of 1986 and again 8mm cd on March 21, 1998 in Japan only. It it coupled with the Dragon Ball closing theme "Romantic Ageru Yo" performed by Ushio Hashimoto.

There are three different versions of this opening of Dragon Ball. Although there are nochanges to the lyrics, the only difference is the video itself. [1]

  • The first version was used from episode 1 where it involved the earlier episodes / events of the series, such as the introductions of Bulma, Oolong, Puar and Yamcha.
  • The second version was used later on where it involved events such as introducing Krillin and their training for the world martial arts tournament.
  • The third version was used at some point much later on where it involved events at around the King Piccolo saga. [2]

In 2005 Takahashi was called back to record a new version of Makafushigi Adventure! called "Makafushigi Adventure! (2005 Ver.)". This release is coupled with re-recordings of "Mezase Tenka-ichi", "Doragonbōru Densetsu", and "Aoi Tabibito-tachi". A Self Cover version featuring Takahashi on cover was also released on the same day. As of this writing, it is the only Hiroki Takahashi release to be made available domestically through iTunes.
