Benedict Arnold was an American born man of British ancestry who played a key part in the American Revolution during the eighteenth century. Born on January 14, 1741 in Norwich, Connecticut; Benedict Arnold grew up with an alcoholic father who’s bad business deals had left the family in debt. After leaving school at the age of fourteen, Arnold was able to complete an apprenticeship at his cousins’ apothecary which would later on allow him to run a pharmacy.
