[edit] OrphanBot
Final: (4/10/0/1/4/M/O); Ended 19:35, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
OrphanBot (talk · contribs) - Fabulous at finding fair use images that have not been tagged properly. That's all he seems to do all day, as an admin he could delete them. Good luck Orphanbot! :P Majorly (o rly?)♦sign here! ♥ 01:20, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with?
- A: Deleting images.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A: Finding wrongly tagged images.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I think a lot of people don't like me tagging their images, but meh. Oh, and they think I'm a robot lol.
- General comments
Please keep criticism constructive and polite.

- Support. Poor orphan, give him a chance. (His mom and dad died at Y2K I suppose). Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 04:11, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
Oppose
- Not enough edit counts to the project space, is not civil enough in messages to editors, refuses to reply to their queries, insufficient cowbell factor. Come back in a few months. --Iamunknown 01:23, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose, because it is liable for deletion. Admins should not be deleted. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 01:27, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose - tends to use boilerplate responses. Can be quite curt at times. Has 'bot' in the name so fails WP:U. Otherwise, an all around nice guy. Call back in a few months :) :) - Alison☺ 01:32, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose total rip-off of my Requests for adminship/Mathbot. I want credit for GFDL purposes. CanadianCaesar Et tu, Brute? 01:34, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose per all above, etc. Rlevse 01:36, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Biting newbies = bad. Of course, bots can't understand that. – Chacor 01:41, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose - Not enough image edits for my standards. VegaDark 01:42, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose, too many edits in image and user talk namespace. ;)--Coredesat 01:45, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose. Although a prolific editor, OrphanBot needs to contribute more to articles and their talk pages, in order to help build the encyclopedia, improve communication skills, and learn about interacting with users and handling disputes. I admire OrphanBot's dedication to the project though. Just how many other users are willing to continually work on Wikipedia without breaks? --Kyoko 05:00, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

- Delete. --Deskana (ya rly) 01:42, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
- Delete per Deskana's excellent rationale. I think we should promote Deskana to chief administrator immidiately. --DeskanaTest 01:44, 1 April 2007 (UTC) — DeskanaTest (talk • contribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.
- Delete - Thanks for uploading User:OrphanBot. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged. As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:OrphanBot copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:OrphanBot copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged OrphanBots may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the OrphanBot is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the OrphanBot will be deleted 48 hours after 01:48, 1 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the OrphanBot copyright questions page. Thank you. --BigDT 01:48, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
