[edit] Remove Metrostars from template
I propose that the Metrostars be removed from the historic teams section of this template. The Metrostars do still exist but are now called the New York Red Bulls. We don't list other teams that have gone through name changes as historic teams. There is no "Dallas Burn" or "Kansas City Wiz" under historic teams. To me, that list is just a list of folded or inactive teams. KitHutch 16:26, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- It has been one week since I proposed the removal of the Metrostars from this template. Since I see no objections, I will remove the Metrostars. KitHutch 15:48, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Added category
I've added an On hiatus category and moved the Earthquakes into that category from historical teams. The team records still exist and are owned by the team's current owner Earthquakes Soccer, LLC and Oakland A's owner Lewis Wolff. They are technically in a hiatus state similar to the Cleveland Browns in the mid 1990's and won't be abandoned at the earliest until 2009 based on the current agreement. If no one objects of course.
