Major League Gaming (MLG) is one of North America’s first professional videogame leagues. MLG operates a multi-city live pro circuit, held in major venues across North America. MLG also broadcasts various competitions on national television and on the internet. It operates a thriving online community and hosts online gaming tournaments on its website. MLG was founded in 2002 by Sundance Digiovanni and Mike Sepso and its headquarters are located in New York City.
[edit] Content agreement with ESPN
On January 14th, 2008, ESPN.com announced it has entered a content agreement with Major League Gaming (MLG).
ESPN will be on site at each of the 2008 MLG Pro Circuit Competitions, reporting news from its own coverage booth for various ESPN programs and platforms, including ESPN360.com, ESPN’s signature broadband sports network.
