Major General Muhammad Akram

(PA - 4716) Major General Muhammad Akram HI(M) (9 May 1932 - ) was a general officer of the Pakistan Army. Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1953 he served in the Pakistan Army for 33 years till his retirement in 1986. After his retirement he served on many prestigious government bodies such as the Punjab Public Service Commission and the Punjab Public Accounts Committee. He is currently serving as Member of the Board of Management of the Services Hospital Lahore.

Military Career

After studying at the Government College, Lahore he attended the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul for 2 years from 1951-1953, during which he was promoted to the coveted rank of Senior Under Officer (SUO) and passing out amongst the top 10 of his batch he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion The Frontier Force Regiment.
