Major Drilling Group International Inc. (MDGI) is one of the largest drilling service companies in the world in the mining industry. The company is headquartered in Moncton, New Brunswick and has offices in Canada, the United States, South America, Central America, Asia, Africa and Australia. MDGI is a public company traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange as MDI. The company was founded in 1980 as a small drilling operation and now does drilling all over the world for mining companies. They are capable of drilling using various methods including:

During the past few years MDGI revenue has grown exponentially, in 2007 revenue was $415.4 million, up 31 percent from 2006. Also in 2007 MDGI purchased Ecuador Drilling Operation, the largest drilling operation in Ecuador.
