Welcome!

Hello, MainelyCanadian, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions relating to roads. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

For a simple way to become familiar with the Wikipedia and U.S. Roads standards, check out User:Rschen7754/Manual.

Additional road article-related questions can be answered at the following links: United States, Canada, or other countries. You may also ask questions at my talk page.

Feel free to ask questions at #wikipedia-en-roads on IRC as well.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian and a roadfan! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. Again, welcome!

Yeah, that's a form letter. A few specific comments:

  • Please don't sign your name in articles.
  • Please omit the "Maine", thus "State Route 27" and "SR 27", not "Maine State Route 27" and "ME 27". See WP:USSH for details.
  • Please include links to places and other routes. You can see how I improved the two articles you started. You should also include Category:State highways in Maine at the bottom.
  • On the talk page, you can add {{USRD}}; this will place it in the category for other U.S. road editors to take a look at it and assign it a "rating".
