Template talk:Main Page toolbox

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Template:Main Page toolbox is permanently protected from editing, as it is a heavily used or visible template.

Substantial changes should be proposed here, and made by administrators if the proposal is uncontroversial, or has been discussed and is supported by consensus. Use {{editprotected}} to attract the attention of an administrator in such cases.
This template does not have a documentation subpage. If the template page contains categories, interwiki links or usage notes, move these to Template:Main Page toolbox/doc. If the template does not require documentation, add |doc=no to this template ({{permprot}}).

I like this template, but I find the name misleading. How about "Template: Main Page toolbox" instead ? -- PFHLai 14:09, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit request

Change the link to WP:ERRORS to Talk:Main page. ffm yes? 13:09, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Why is it protected anyway? It is not actually on the main page. ffm yes? 16:38, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Y Done. You're welcome to request unprotection; I haven't looked into that at this time. – Luna Santin (talk) 22:25, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Revert to previous target please (Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors) (to fix dbl-rdr, now that it's transcluded instead of redirected) Thanks --Quiddity 19:43, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Scratch that (well ignored!) it works fine as is. --Quiddity 19:07, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Yesterday" link

{{editprotected}}

Might be worth bypassing the redirect from Main Page alternative (yesterday) to Wikipedia:Main Page alternative (yesterday) on this template, people will no doubt start trying to get these "cross-namespace redirects" deleted soon – Gurch 12:15, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Y Done --ais523 13:27, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ITN

{{editprotected}} Can an admin change "ITN Candidates" to "In the news suggestions"? --Howard the Duck 15:42, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Done. Cheers. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:47, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
