[edit] Maiolo as a Family Name
It is my understanding that Maiolo is one of the rare local names that originated in Italy in the 10th and 11th centuries. The name is made even less common by fact that local names never really "caught on" as a typical way of taking a family name. I don't know if this should get it's own heading or if should just be listed as a trivia fact. Dream of Titan 23:35, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
