The cattle are red and white (sometimes black or roan) and have horns. They are big animals (cows: 142 cm, 800 kg; bulls: 152 cm, 1,200 kg). They are bred not only for their ease of handling and docile nature but also their high growth rates and marbling throughout their meat.
