Mail rocket
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A mail rocket is a type of rocket used for transporting mail. Especially around 1930 there were several experiments with mail rockets. Nevertheless, there was no regular operational use.
One experiment by German rocket scientist Gerhard Zucker linked the islands of Harris and Scarp in the Outer Hebrides and was the basis of the 2001 film The Rocket Post (Film) mentioned on the Film Hebrides web site.
