Maidstone Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Maidstone Club is a private country club on the Atlantic Ocean in East Hampton (village), New York.
In addition to a private beach, pool, tennis house, and club house, Maidstone has both an 18-hole and 9-hole private golf course.
The Club derives its name from Maidstone, England, which was the original name for East Hampton. It was founded in 1891. The golf course was originally designed by William H. Tucker and is one of the first 100 golf courses in the United States.[1]
Willie Park, Jr [2] designed the 80-acre Gardiner Peninsula addition in 1922.[3]
