Mai FM

Mai FM is a Māori radio station located in Auckland, New Zealand. It broadcasts at 88.6 FM, and also broadcasts in Rotorua on 96.7 FM and Whangarei on 98.7 FM. It plays mainly hip hop and R&B music.

Mai FM began broadcasting to Auckland in July 1992. It was run by one of the largest Maori tribes in New Zealand, Ngati Whatua and Mai Media [1] . On February 29 2008 it was announced that MediaWorks had brought the station and would take it over on March 31 2008.[2]

Radioworks plans to Network the station into other regions to add to there group of stations.
