Dear Mr.Mahesh,
We are talking about differrent languages. Yes, You are right about in kannada it being oDeya ( using transliteration rules) but to say the British corrupted it is wholly inappropriate. As a matter of fact the family itslef spells it as Wadiyar. In all of known English History sources it is Wodeyar and in all known English News media it is either Wodeyar or Wadiyar. You just search it using any search Engine you will not get much data under oDeyar ! I myself has used oDeyar in most of music based sites while transliterating HH JCRW's composition as there i was following the relevant rules.
When i tried to search some of my own postings here today i did not find them instantly. I was too shell shocked thinking some hacker has deleted them! After much effort i realised it was because of you !
I do not approve of your modifications here but did not want to correct them and start a unseemly wrangle ! Hope you would make amends.
