[edit] Removal of copyrighted content

The entire History section and many of the Faculty and Department sections of this article were copied verbatim from the university's website (History section found here: [1] and an index of the Faculties and Departments found here: [2]). Thus, they were copyright violations and I have removed them as per WP:Copyright. Danelo 01:53, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "is one of the premier universities of India"

I have serious doubts about the objectivity of this article. My wife is from India and she's never heard of this school. Also, it appears that the content is coming mainly from authors with a vested interest in the school's reputation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by David.mcreynolds (talk • contribs) 02:43, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

--Hi David, the article is probably not perfectly objective but MSU is one of the premier universities, especially in the Arts/Humanities sphere. There is no grading system for universities in India, but after the three top ones of Mumbai U, Delhi U, & Jawaharlal Nehru U would be (in no specific order) Bangalore U, Sardar Patel U, MSU, and a couple of others. I'm not including the IITs here as they're 'deemed universities.' wildT (talk) 08:23, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
