Maharaja Engineering College is in Palankarai around 8 kms from Avinashi.Even though it is on the National Highway (NH47),bus Facilities are less frequent. Basic Medical facilities and Moderate Hotels are available in Avinashi. --Ganshu2000 04:08, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Yes I completely agree with this, The college is a real sympathy to Engineering student, you cannot go to a hospital in the middle of the night, you cannot make a telephone call in the middle of the night. All the college management knows is to earn money. Instead they can do any other buisness. The Anna University is a deaf body with regard to this. They really inform when they will be coming to the college for inspection. So the management shifts the labs, computers, staffs and even the principal to the particular college and make their slate clean. You might also not know that this college staffs are no 1 rowdies. One person in the Administration is known for his rowdism. I dont know how students choose this college. Well its a shame to coimbatore and also to the Anna University who has provided affiliation to this college.....Apart from this they will collect money for internet and something..something.That and all very shame to say. I feel very sad for those students who studing there


I agree the above message,i am also one of the student in maharaja engg college,his full motivation is for only making money,not for making good engg student. The management is very very worst.college running around 10 yrs and above but still no quality education,no quality staff,no lab facility,mainly no campus interview. −

all peoples are coming outside and workhard and then getting job.some people are getting good job,most of the people are still searching for job. its very sad news for all the student.

I also think similar i think ANNA UNIVERSITY officals taking bribes from MAHARAJA.Since most of the inspection dates are previously informed.


I agree all messages above.i was one of the student of this college.The students coming out this college will become very waste.because that type of education are they giving.For a computer sience department,no staff have the ability to explain a simple programme.One staff name aandamuthu who is a no.1 rowdy who is the head of department of cs department.A student coming inside the college will come out side with degree means it is help of only god,that type of torturing is going on there

im also one of the old student of that college and my life got ruined only coz of that college inspite of my performance till 12 std my life got deserted as i stepped in to that college this is not a educational institutuon but a money making organisation they demolished lifes of lots of students in a intention of making money so my kind advice for the forcoming students is not to choose that college

i have also studied (really struggled) in the same college for four years no help from management for placement no infrastructure..... whenever a anna university official comes for inspection college will take get all its resources from other colleges and some computers for rent also.....

stupid management always interested in money alone. no help for students... == == anna university should take some bold decision against this college == ==

I am also the student of Maharaja Engineering College. I accepted all the views of the students. Its normal in all Engineering Colleges. They are saying many complaints but still the college is in 60th rank in Anna university colleges. (It has 256 Colleges). Our College Principal tries his best to make the students study. They are conducting

     1.Daily morning 1 hour class test
     2.3 Monthly test per Semester
     3.And re-test or Make-up test for students who failed in above test
     4.Model Exam before Semester
     5.5 assignments
     6.Unit Test for 3 Tough Subjects
     7.1 time imposition if the student not perform well

Not only these many things can we say. It’s all about the student’s mentality most of them Criticize the college and its facility. But only few of them use the facilities available. In mechanical department it has all the machines necessary for the students. In Coimbatore district itself only maharaja has many machines and labs for mechanical department. Due to boom in IT Industry all staffs search jobs in IT Companies so there is a scarcity of staffs in CSE and IT Department. If the management increase the salary and create good environment for staffs then surely good quality staffs are there. Till now more than 60 students are placed in various Companies like

    1.CTS (Cognizant Technologies )
    2.Wipro
    3.TCS (Tata Consultancy Service)
    4.ESSAR Steels etc..

Most of the students knowing the seriousness of the job and only after reaching the final year. Most of them are not prepared themselves for Interview. As we are Indians we always criticize others. First we do our best then we surely reward for our work They are collecting fine for absent even though many of them take leave more then 20 days and waste the money of their parents. I accept that only few opportunities are there but I feel bad that the students are not correctly using that opportunity itself. Its all in our hand. So please use the opportunity and do well. All the best.

I was also a student of maharaja engg. That is the worst experience that I never wanted to have anyone in the world. guys, please do not join and waste your career.
