Mahsun Kırmızıgül (born Abdullah Bazencir on March 26, 1969) is a popular Zazaish Arabesque, pop folk music singer, actor and director and former co-owner of Prestij Müzik, once a leading Turkish music production company.
He was born in Bingöl, Turkey and grew up in Diyarbakır. In 1993, he released his first professional album, Alem Buysa Kral Sensin ("If this is the world, then you are the king"), which became a huge hit. This was followed by other hits like Bebeğim Benim ("My Baby"), and in 1994, he became one of the three owners of Prestij Müzik.
His 1998 album Yıkılmadım ("I did not fall down") has sold more than 2 million copies and became the best selling album in 1998. The same year, he won three Kral TV Music awards. On the same night Prestij Müzik musicians won most of the awards.[1]
He is of Zazaish origin.[2] He has made a huge comeback in late 2007 with his newly released film, Beyaz Melek (aka White Angel) which he has directed, written composed music and starred.
