Mahraz Darshan Das Jee is the founder of Sachkhand Nanak Dham International and the head of Das Dharam.
‘Mahraz’ means the biggest mystery that no one has been able to understand.
‘Darshan’ the name of Mahraz Jee means seeing, observing, gazing, witnessing.
‘Das’ means the servant of God.
‘Jee’ is a word added to the name of Mahraz Jee in His honour by followers.
Mahraz Darshan Das Jee used to say, “I am not God, Sant, Phakeer, Pir or Mahraz. I am just Darshan Das - a servant of God. I have come to show you how to live your life and become God’s Das”.
Mahraz Jee taught how could you love or build a relationship with someone you have not seen, had a conversation with or engaged with. He said find a perfect spiritual master if you want to get attached to God – ‘Har Se Preet Lagaanee Hai Toan Guru Ki Sharanee Ja’ – Yashwanti Niradhar Dham Pehla.
Mahraz Darshan Das Jee wrote holy hymns, (Shabads, Shalok, Doha) in a collection that He gave the title of Yashwanti Niradhar Dham Pehla. He wrote in excess of 300 hymns. The hymns are used to explain the message of God.
Most of the hymns that Mahraz Jee wrote are about the Soul and God however the words and style used to make the same points have a different story behind them for each hymn. Mahraz Darshan Das Jee also wrote Shair, Geet and Qawalian. He was an exquisite poet and loved writing. He was not highly educated and yet knew many languages and wrote a vast amount whilst living amongst His followers as an ordinary human being.
Mahraz Darshan Das Jee did not act as a stereotypical holy man but was a down to earth person. In whatever way anyone looked at Him that was the relationship He maintained with them. He was very practical and a revolutionary leader with a very strong message and infallible teachings.
