Mahindra Tractors
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The farm equipment division of Mahindra & Mahindra builds and sources tractors that are sold worldwide across six continents.[1] Mahindra builds more tractors in India than any other manufacturer,[2] and has the capacity to build 1.5 million tractors a year.[3] The Tractor Manufacturing plant was originally set up as a joint venture with the American company, International Harvester, set up in 1965.[4]
In addition to building their own tractors, Mahindra also sources tractors from other manufacturers. For the USA market, Mahindra buys or has bought tractors from Mitsubishi in Japan, Tong Yang Moolsan and South Korea.[5]
