Mahatma Gandhi Setu is a bridge over the river Ganges connecting Patna in the south to Hajipur in north in Bihar, India. It was inaugurated in May 1982 by Indian Prime Minister, Mrs Indira Gandhi.

Its length is 5450 meters. [1] and it was one of the longest single river bridge in the world. The approach to the bridge from the south is a 50 km long flyover. There are 40 piers to this bridge.
