Mahasti Shahrokhi

Mahasti Shahrokhi (Persian: مهستی شاهرخی ) is a novelist, a poet, and the winner of numerous literary prizes.[citation needed]
Her works have been published in Another Sea, Another Shore: Persian Stories of Migration (Interlink World Fiction, U.S.), and The Other Voices International Poetry (Paula Brown Publishing, UK). Her novel, A Shawl as Long as the Silk Road (Baran Publication, Sweden, 1999), attracted critical attention, and Cactus magazine (published in the U.S.) devoted its third publication to this novel.[citation needed] Many of her articles have been published in artistic and literary magazines inside and outside of the country.
In addition to her literary achievements Mahasti is a journalist, and theater critic. Her most recent novel Sobh-e Nahan, and poetry collection Jomhoori-e Sokoot are due publication in 2007. She earned her Ph.D. in literature at the Sorbonne, France. She lives in Paris.
