Maharaja Sir Kishen Pershad Bahadur served as a Prime Minister (1902-1912) of the Hyderabad state of the Nizams. He belonged to a noble family, and traces back his roots to to Raja Todar Mal, emperor Akbar's finance minister.. He succeeded Sir Vicar-ul-Umra as the Prime Minster.
Sir Kishen Pershad had a passion for arts and letters.
He was also a member of Freemason, Hyderabad. He showed his secular leanings by marrying three Hindu and four Muslim wives. The children from respective wives adopted the religion of their respective mothers.
