Mahara Okeroa is a New Zealand politician.
He is a member of the Labour Party. He has been the MP for Te Tai Tonga since the 1999 elections, when he defeated the incumbent Tu Wyllie of New Zealand First. He is a Minister of State and Associate Minister of Arts, Culture & Heritage; Conservation and Social Development & Employment.
He was born in Waitara in 1946. Before entering politics, he was a teacher.
