[edit] Trivia
Mahaloha is a word that combines both Hawaiian words Mahalo which means Thank You and Aloha which translates to Love. The song is a tribute to the singers origins and literally means Thank you, the ones we love.
According with Yuna's second album WISH) album, Mahaloha was inspired from the song Water Dance.
The b-side's name was changed three times, from Doin' to Doin' Alright and then to Shining On. Another name appeared on the Official Site of Yuna Ito, but was taken down immediately afterwards.
[edit] Music Video
The video has been scheduled for a May 19 to May 21 shooting process on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, where both Ito and Micro grew up. It was directed by UGICHIN in downtown Honolulu.
It features Ito on a bench and walking on the side of a beach while singing the song, as well as laughing and joking around with Micro, as well as sitting together in a garden watching the sun set. Micro is shown sitting on a back of the truck and handling a surfboard. Both joke and sing along.
