Bangalore is quite a huge city which has a number of wards (areas). We intend to talk about one such famous areas in Bangalore in this article - Mahalakshmi Layout.
Mahalakshmi Layout is on the "North West" of Bangalore. Usually referred as twin layouts of Mahalakshmi Layout and Nandini Layout.
To be specific to people who know a little bit of Bangalore, it's the area opposite to ISCKON temple. Next to the Rajajinagar 1st block.
It is also called as the "Layout of Hills". Not just because it has hills, but because, the main roads leading to and from here are quite steep hills.
It's often with love, referred to as "Temples Layout". There are around 10 temples separated at an average distance of 200 meters.
Shortcut to enter peenya industrial area (Peenya is a place where many corporates have factories, manufacturing units and R & D centers located) from malleswaram is through Mahalakshmi layout wherein you can avoid heavy traffic at yeswantpur circle
A place in Bangalore where you can find maximum Pet (dog) lovers.
Reliance fresh and Subhiksha super market have their outlet in mahalakshmi layout.
Famous "'ABHARAN'" jewellery shop is in this place.
ATM's where you can withdraw cash: AXIS bank, Corporation Bank, HDFC bank State Bank of India...
For Food Lovers: Guys who love Mangalore cuisine "Hotel Sharadi" Bon appetite
Ashok Leyland is a one of major HTV manufacturers in India after Tata Motors constructed first huge residential apartments "ASHOKA HEIGHTS" in Mahalakshmi layout on Shankar Nagar Main Road.
Real Estate in Mahalakshmi layout is currently a boom because its approximately 3-4 km from Rajaji Nagar, Malleswaram and Yeswantpur and yeah ISCKON temple itself is located in Mahalakshmi Layout.
Mahalakshmi layout being dominantly a residential locality, people working in different companies prefer to stay in Mahalakshmi or Nandini layout.
It is important to note that Mahalakshmi Layout has been connected by B.M.T.C buses to all other parts of the city.
"Shankar Nagar" one of the prime residential areas in Bangalore is also located in Mahalakshmi layout which has its own play ground and a very well maintained park at 9th Main Road of Shankar Nagar.
