Does anyone know the source of the grey-green scalemail, conical hats, and heart sacrifices references? I have left them in because I'm thinking they might be from Greyhawk material.

For the record, Maglubiyet is a Forgotten Realms specific deity. He is listed in the Forgotten Realms source books Faiths and Pantheons (in the monster deity section), Player's Guide to Faerun, Races of Faerun, and Silver Marches, just to name a few. He is also referred to in the Forgotten Realms specific adventure module, Into the Dragon's Lair, and in the Forgotten Realms novel, the Elves of Evermeet, among others.
