while I'm a fan of the novels, I'm not sure they're notable enough to warrant a separate article just on their magic system.--Crossmr 03:33, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Well, they're going on into their fifth book, have many positive reviews from other rather notable authors, and I also wanted to lighten up the main article for the series. That article is getting kind of unwieldy. --Nerrin 05:26, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

It's not a substantial amount of information more than was on the original Runelords page. A couple paragraphs more, mainly in the overview on runes, as I recall. So it already had this level of detail, just that it was put on a huge, ugly page before I moved it over to this one. There are enough other fictional worlds where this level of detail is considered acceptable on Wikipedia that I just didn't think it a big deal when creating this page.
