Magydos

Magydos was an ancient settlement, located on the coast in Pamphylia, Asia Minor (now modern Turkey), between the cities of Attalia and Perga. Magydos was attested to during the Roman and Late Antiquity periods. The site of ancient Magydos is now occupied by modern-day Lara Manastır. It was known in antiquity by the name of Magydus in Latin and Μάγυδος in Greek. It was sometimes identified with Masythus and Mygdala or Mygdale (Greek Μυγδάλη).
