The Magpie River is a river in the Algoma District of northern Ontario, which empties into Michipicoten Bay on Lake Superior near the town of Wawa. The river drains an area of about 1,900 km².

The Michipicoten River flows into this river not far from its mouth.

There are a number of scenic waterfalls on the river. There are also several hydroelectric plants on the river; the largest is located at Steephill Falls.
