Magnetic pistol

Magnetic pistol is the term for the means by which the fuse on a torpedo or naval mine detects its target and then detonates. It is an impact torpedo and true that magnetic firing pistol malfunctions against some crucial attempt of the warships. During World War II, over sixty different torpedos were tested, 16 using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant.
