MagneRide
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
MagneRide is Delphi Corporation's proprietary name for its magneto rheological suspension system.
It was first used by General Motors in the Chevrolet Corvette C5 and Cadillac Seville and STS, and is also now used in the Ferrari 599, the Corvette C6, the Audi TT and R8, Acura MDX, in some Holden Special Vehicles models. It uses magneto-rheological fluid to adjust the damping rate of the shock absorbers based on road conditions and vehicle dynamics.
