The Magie Noir is a cocktail sold in the Umbaba club in the West End of London. It is one of the most expensive cocktails in the world, selling at £333 per glass. The drink was created by head barman Giles Andreis at the request of two Goldman Sachs employees wanting the best ingredients possible. It was added to the drinks menu for the halloween party of 29 October 2005.
The drink contains:
- One shot of Richard Hennessy cognac
- A measure of Dom Pérignon vintage champagne
- A dash of Crème de Mure.
- Lemon grass
- Lychees
- Extract of Yohimbine
The drink is presented in a crystal glass with a 24-carat white gold cocktail pin.
