"Magic Oh Magic" was the Italian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1985, performed in Italian by Al Bano & Romina Power.
The song is a duet featuring elliptical lyrics, which appear to be about the magic of life and the fact that one never knows where one is going.
The song was performed twelfth on the night (following Israel's Izhar Cohen with Olé, Olé and preceding Norway's Bobbysocks with La Det Swinge). At the close of voting, it had received 78 points, placing 7th in a field of 19.
Italy opted out of the 1986 Contest, but returned the next year. Thus, the song was succeeded as Italian representative at the 1987 Contest by Umberto Tozzi & Raf with "Gente di mare".
