[edit] Bible Metaphysics and Authorship

Whitehouse's 2007 Book The Marriage of Jesus is not a re-run of The Da Vinci Code claiming that Jesus of Nazareth married Mary Magdalene but rather a serious historical look at the social and economic likelihood of the times. Her theory (shared by many of the Jewish faith - which she is not) is that Jesus would have married, just like any other young boy of his times, at the age of approximately 14. Working from historical knowledge of the times (and referencing Suzanne Croom's book The Roman Mother) Whitehouse reveals that the average life-span of a woman in Jesus' time was 27 years. As Jesus began his ministry at approximately 30 years old, it is most likely that he was a widower at that time.

Whitehouse futher submits that Jesus is referred to as 'Rabbi' and this title was reserved for those who were, or had been, married. She also puts forward evidence to disprove the theories that Jesus was an Essene or Nazarite, two categories which did not marry.

In the 1990s, Whitehouse also wrote a trilogy of fictional works about a female cousin of Jesus including The Book of Deborah. She sees her work in this respect as being a way of helping those perhaps distanced from or hurt by the Christian faith to find truth in the teachings without doctrine.

[edit] Kabbalah

Since 1993, Whitehouse has studied the Toledano Tradition of Kabbalah with Z’ev ben Shimon Halevi also known as Warren Kenton and acknowledges Kenton's inspiration and work for all her books on Kabbalah which she calls 'primers' for Kenton's own work. The Toledano Tradition of Kabbalah refers to the ancient tradition which, according to believers, was taught to Moses, Queen Esther and Jesus of Nazareth. It underpins, say these believers, the three great religions of the Western World. It pre-dates the Lurianic Kabbalah of the Kabbalah Centre by more than 2000 years and can be studied by those of all faiths.

[edit] Prosperity, Background and Ministry

Whitehouse was born into a traditional Christian family. Her father, Patrick Bruce Whitehouse, was an acknowledged expert on steam engines and preservation and author of more than 50 books on those subjects. In the 1980s he and his daughter travelled around China together, resulting in the book China by Rail.

She married Henry Barley in 1989. Barley died the following year from cancer and Whitehouse says this was the beginning of her research into Christianity and metaphysics. She was told by a hospital chaplain at her husband's deathbed that because he was not a Christian, he could not go to heaven.

She later married Jonathon Clark, a Jewish man. They were divorced in 2002.

Whitehouse is a trained spiritual funeral minister, i.e. someone who leads funerals, honouring and celebrating individuals and their beliefs. In 2007 she was ordained into the Apostolic Church of the Risen Christ.

She has studied Jewish and Christian faiths and belief systems and took New Testament Greek at Birmingham University.

She is best known for her work in helping people to overcome spiritual and emotional blocks to prosperity - whether financial, emotional or physical - running regular seminars and speaking at Mind, Body, Spirit events.

She lives and works in the Midlands area of Great Britain with her husband Peter Dickinson.
