[edit] Big Brother 6

In 2005, Maggie was one of fourteen Big Brother 6 contestants. In this, the sixth season of the show, known as the Summer of Secrets, each contestant had a secret partner, that they knew before the show, who would work together on the show. Maggie's secret partner was her friend, Eric Littmann.[2] Eric was the third evicted from the house after being nominated by that week's Head of Household (HOH) Kaysar Ridha. Maggie, however, stunned viewers by becoming HoH for the following week and then nominating Kaysar, causing him to be evicted in a 7-1 vote.[3]

Maggie has stated that Eric's departure was a catalyst for getting her to play the game, and in turn helped her win.[4] It was then that she began taking charge of an alliance known as the Friendship, which included herself, Ivette Corredero, Beau Beasley, April Lewis, Jennifer Vasquez, and Eric (before his eviction). Fellow housemates and viewers alike, however, tended to disfavor the alliance, and eventually gave it nicknames like The Nerd Herd, The Friendsheep, or The Disciples (of Eric). [5] Maggie was often credited with being the alliance's leader, partially because she spent much time during the summer bringing the five together to discuss any intergroup problems and keep their bond strong.[6]

On the 80th day, the jury voted and gave Maggie the $500,000 prize in a 4-3 vote against Ivette. She received the votes of Jennifer Vasquez, Rachel Plencner, Howie Gordon, and April while Ivette received the votes of James Rhine, Beau, and Janelle Pierzina.[5]
