[edit] Life
Konopka's father was a high-ranking civil servant with much land and many horses, her mother an archaeologist. Her great-grandfather fought in the Napoleonic Wars.
She moved with her family to London at the end of 1950s. After a period in which she worked as a model, an Italian actor friend convinced her to go to Rome, where in 1965 she landed her first part in the movie Thrilling. In December of the same year, Konopka married the French-Canadian billionaire Jean-Louis Dessy, but they separated the following Spring.
She posed for the cover of the May 1970 issue of Penthouse. In 1970 she was in the cast of When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth, a movie whose main attraction was the beauty of Konopka and other famous pin-ups of the time, such as Victoria Vetri and Imogen Hassall. Konopka was also romantically linked with Sean Connery for a short period. Her final films were released in the late 1970s.
