Magazine Gateway

Coordinates: 52°37′54.13″N, 1°8′16.52″W The Magazine Gateway (aka The Magazine) is Grade 1 listed building in Leicester; built circa 1410 and which was once a gate in the city walls.

It acquired its present name during the English Civil War when it was used for the storage of munitions.

Leicestershire County Council has plans to pedestrianise the area around the Magazine.
