Magallanes is a 4th class municipality in the province of Sorsogon, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 31,315 people in 5,886 households.

This town had been the site of the first Catholic mass in Luzon island and was the site of ancient Ibalon or Gibalon (which is located in Barangay Siuton).
