Magabe kibiti

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Magabe Kibiti is a syndicated columnist for African newspapers and websites worldwide. Magabe lives and works in the United States of America. His articles are mostly about issues and lives of people in third world countries. Magabe grew up in one of the so called socialist countries in Africa - Tanzania. He also has a first hand experience of "the nineties revolution" which forced most (if not all) African countries to abandon socialism completely for the promising capitalism.

Magabe has referred to himself as an economist in his articles. He however has written numerous articles about politics, religion, and social issues. Most of his articles are available through websites like:

etc.

Some people who consider themselves socialist Africans have condemned his writings and articles. Magabe would rather call himself 'a humanist'. Most of his articles however tend to favor capitalism over socialism.

As an economics student, Magabe is on his way to become one of the new generation of Africans who are ready to move up their continent to the higher level of development. Among other things, Magabe has spoken against corruption, misuse of foreign aid, conflicts and wars, etc. Magabe has also written against the use of religion for social and political gains in Africa. Magabe would like to see more Africans in the "middle class" so that the world economy can benefit from this continent of more than 700 million people.
