[edit] Plot

A stage actress, Julia wants to use her star sapphire for her upcoming play and asks for Richard Moore's help to protect it after showing Kogoro a letter from Phantom Thief Kid. On the day of the theft, Kid appears at the theatre disguised up as Jimmy Kudo but ends up fleeing in the end without the jewel. To thank them, Julie invites Richard and everyone to Hakodate, and they all travel on an airplane to get there. In the air, one of the show actor, Shitou, who was suppose to be elsewhere and Rachel's mother, Eva Kaden, joins them on the plane. Julia meets with the captains of the plane and everyone kisses her hand because of the sapphire she wears. Julia later dies from being poisoned from licking her fingers after eating chocolate, which is later found done by her make-up artist.

The captains were also poisoned from Julia and were not able to pilot the plane, so Shitou agrees to take over because he took courses, and appoints Conan to help him. Conan figures out that he is Kid because no one normal will let an elementary school kid pilot a plane. The storm and fire at the airport make it impossible to land while the plane fuel is running low. Conan picks a stable area that can support a commercial plane. Rachel and Serena Sebastian eventually take over piloting the plane while Kid escapes by jumping off the plane and Conan has to "go to the bathroom." Conan then switches over to Jimmy's voice and guides Rachel for landing the plane. Rachel tells Jimmy she love him but ends the moment by telling Conan that she suddenly sees lights at the site. It turns out that Kid went near the police and uses police cars (because this policeman is obsessed with catching him) as guiding lights to land the plane. All went well, and the movie ends with Rachel talking to Jimmy over the phone again arguing about silly things.

[edit] Music

The movie's ending theme "Dream x Dream" which plays during the credits was written and performed by Rina Aiuchi.
